Masquerading in DreamlandTake me to a place of ethereal dreamsby
To the mystic court of fairy kings and queens
Lead me far down the rabbit hole
Come away and bring my soul
To the mischievous magical masquerade balls
With seemingly endless candlelit halls
To palaces filled with twilight dancers Terpsichorean ladies and
Rhythmic body's wearing hypnotizing colours
Mesmerise me and forget about all others
Let feet move to the music, let it draw me in
Let the endless stars caress gentle skin
Anonymous behind masks of luminous feathers
Unbinding myself of all earthly tethers
I see eyes smouldering from across the room
The hint of a smile eno
Fourth Place Winner
And the equally as fantastic Honourable Mentions!

InvisibleI'm the invisible girl that no one sees
I'm the girl who passes by unnoticed like a breeze
You won't see me in the hallway, you won't see me in the school
Because I'm invisible, too shy to be cool
I'm the one that no one remembers
My name in the back of your mind like dying embers
Forgotten by all her peers
Past friends you thought were near
No one asks about me cause they don't know who I am
I'm just the quiet girl at the back of the class, to whom no one gives
Unseen and forgotten
Lonely and downtrodden
Behind this mask I live alone
Let no one in cause there's no one home
A small smile plastered on my fac
In my darkest of hours,
You are there showing me love and care...
All of my pain you have tried to bear;
With your love a dark angel was born.
Swearing to love and protect you
From all that torn your hope and dreams.
With what dark love I hold in my heart
Let it quite you're your silent screams.
Countless times have I held you in my arms,
Always will I take all of fears and alarms,
An Angels LoveLong ago I had walked down the hallway of my life devoid of emotion for I had grown accustomed to seeing faces of others passing by me, either distraught or otherwise bright with some form of bliss brought about by ignorance. I grew ever weary of the world in which I seemed to be ensnared in, like a bird locked inside of a cage wanting to fly free. Unlike the others who seemed to be born free with beautiful, natural wings, I was born at the bottom of a dark and stagnant well. I grew up looking at the sky, in which symbolized freedom and therein, joy! I wished to escape that place but alas I, unlike the others, had no wings. One day, an angel
Once again congratulations to everyone on a fantastic contest turnout!! You all did amazing!
